That's something that hadn't really entered my mind because I seem to have blended in quite quickly and feel like "one of them" already. I've been hearing as well that, although it is true they've had a longer time to bond, it doesn't seem like they've actually used that time constructively so there isn't much ground I need to make up in order to get to where I need to be here. Apparently this tribe is also "laid back", which I'm starting to think is shorthand for "only semi-interested and half-heartedly in the game".
What has been really interesting is finding out Ted burned an idol to keep Lisa in the game for little to no gain since he went from a 4-3 numbers disadvantage to only tying the numbers 3-3. That's bad use of an idol and I would have expected more from Ted in terms of his knowledge of the game but knowing that, for the moment, the only active idol in the game is sitting in my pocket definitely gives me a bit more security for the short-term.
So, my upcoming choice in terms of who will be next coming to Refuge could have major repercussions on the game. It all depends on a couple of factors - how much longer Refuge will go for and the reslut of the next two or so challenges. If I make the choice to weaken Ted's alliance by bringing up Lisa I have to pray for Nuka Hiva to pull out a challenge win after that and that Vytas/Kristina/Ramona will go for Ted and not Ashley. That's what I want to have happen because Ted is a frightening force and I'm not particularly keen to go against him at the merge.
Over on Nuka Hiva, the name of the game for this weekend will be getting Cochran and Ralph back into line and figuring out where their heads are at. That feeble attempt at blindsiding Caryn was so short-sighted and I'm disappointed to see Cochran falling back into his old ways because he is definitely overthinking everything waaaay too much.
